Medal of Honor

This song which honored Maura Smith (the only policewoman to die at the World Trade Center on 9/11) was included in the musical Fishwrap, produced by the Adirondack Theatre Festival in July 2002.  The song was called a “great piece of work” by The Union times.

Education

Lori Fischer received her M.F.A. from New York University’s Department of Dramatic Writing in 2008.  She received a B.A. degree from Belmont University.  In 1997, Lori was inducted into Belmont’s Athletic Hall of Fame for being a two-time All-American in Track and Field and a two-time Academic All-American.  2008 New York University Harry Kondoleon Graduate Award in Playwriting recipient, 2008-09 Dramatists Guild Fellow
